Citizens 4 Humanity - People Helping People

Our aim is to set local, statewide and national trends that allow citizens ways to take an increasing interest and participation in a basket of select charities. Charities that help shape our behaviors culturally, environmentally and socially.

We are Citizens 4 Humanity. Our members are comprised of a broad network of people from local communities who believe in people helping people. We have an attractive and challenging marketing proposition. We actively support charities that are making a positive and real difference in our society. And touch people directly. We are not a large organization that hosts fancy events with donations that never reach the ones who need it the most. Our organization donates directly to people on a grass roots level. The Citizens 4 Humanity marquee communicates the charity that we are socially active with.

Citizens 4 Humanity is well served by a board of members who volunteer their time and services during social events to give back to their communities. It is our fundamental belief to be socially responsible. We help citizens overcome the challenge of finding the time to become involved in charities by offering engaging and worthy events.

This organization works on the common goals for both businesses and non-profits to bring them closer together.

New York branch announced

It is exciting to announce that founder of Citizens 4 Humanity, April Minkel will be combining strengths with her sister Sheila Minkel and celebrity chef Marco Barrila to feed impoverished single moms on the Eastern End of Long Island New York. With deep roots in the community, they frequently volunteer for many worthy and local organizations. Witnessing the shortage of food at the food banks firsthand has been a wake up call. These hungry people are not just statistics, but they are real people with real hunger needs. Most people don't get to see the real suffering, but they should to see the need to help.

Waiting for large organizations to reach these families would surely result in prolonged tragedy leaving these families hungry or starving. As a Citizen 4 Humanity supporter, Chef Marco has been instrumental in calling a change of action to happen on the community level. The East End of Long Island has many demographics that need to be fed. However, the largest one and arguably the most needy one are single moms. With his Frugal Food Project, Chef Marco has organized other professional chefs, farms and local volunteers to come together to donate their facilities, services and time to produce complete healthy meals that will reach families faster.

Chef Marco Barrila is a reknown chef cooking for celebrities and high profile clients in New York and on the East End. And Citizens 4 Humanity is very fortunate to have his expertise in leading this cause.

Our two groups will now come under a single organization as dedicated Citizens 4 Humanity.

At a time when food is becoming increasingly expensive, together we are pooling resources to get contributions towards the cost of food. These food dollars will directly relate to the number of families who get fed. Citizens 4 Humanity was founded in 2005 and since then been on the forefront of community driven events. Our two groups are relevant driving forces in directly donated causes. There are enormous benefits to reaching people directly.

Citizens 4 Humanity is growing and intends to recruit more volunteers until our broad network expands to every member of the community. We hope to create a shared vision that illustrates the great benefits of each and every body giving back in a way that is meaningful to them. To join forces for good causes in the community is a commitment to contribute resources and talents to promote better lives for everybody. And not to victimize the people who need help the most. To give back is brave, far sighted and appropriate. It is the people who understand the importance individual contribution who are responsible for our outstanding success. Each member's single action contributes directly to a family in need. This is our mission and our purpose.
